Growing up on a farm in Asheville, North Carolina Tim was heavily influenced by his father’s love of building and construction as well as his mother’s artistic eye and creative abilities. As a child, Tim always had a pencil in hand and could be found drawing for hours at a time. On one of his many family trips to nearby Biltmore Estates, Tim saw the original drawings for the home and a scale model of the property. He experienced an “aha moment” and, at age 12, knew that his passion for drawing, love of beauty, and knowledge of construction could become his life’s work.

In high school, he began pursuing his dream of becoming an architect through drafting courses during the school year, working construction during the summers, and seeking out mentors to guide him along the way. After receiving his bachelors and masters degrees in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Tim worked in the industry for more than a decade before setting out on his own and ultimately founding T.S. Adams Studio Architects in 2001.

Tim is a life-long learner who draws inspiration from many architectural forms and styles. From orderly Colonial Revivals and organic Shingle-styles to the opulence and romance of Gilded Age mansions, Tim draws upon his continued study and deep understanding of historic precedents. His designs reflect authentic proportions and details, rendered in appropriate materials, resulting in projects that are imbued with soul and transcend time.

Tim enjoys getting to know each client, listening to their needs, and exchanging ideas that bring creative solutions to life. Tim’s relationship-based approach is the foundation of his firm’s success.

When he’s not in the office, Tim enjoys the quiet solitude of his farm where he paints, draws, and gardens. He is also an avid sportsman who is always up for an adventure in the great outdoors.

Transitioning from teaching fourth graders to managing her husband’s studio demonstrates Kelli’s innate knack for ‘figuring things out.’ She loves being part of the process, and her detail-oriented nature makes her the glue that binds the business, clients, and team. While overseeing both a home and business can be challenging, she’s a firm believer in taking things one day at a time. She’s been with the team since the very beginning and is involved in everything from management to accounting and human resources. She values the experience of contributing to something greater and building a family business and legacy. Kelli’s favorite escape is the family farm – a place to unplug with the kids, play games, and connect with the natural environment.

Originally from Mississippi, Noah’s journey to Vice President at TS Adams Studio started very early; he remembers visiting construction sites with his grandfather around the age of five. With a natural gift for geometry and an affinity for hands-on experience, his unique path has been filled with a variety of roles in design and construction.

Noah joined TS Adams Studio in 2005 with several years of residential design experience already under his belt. Having acquired the fundamentals of drawing and design through an apprentice’s approach, Noah also brings a deep passion for residential architecture to his role at TS Adams Studio. His keen attention to detail makes Noah a worthy mentor, advocate, and a driven leader for the studio. Noah is involved in all major projects and is known as a great listener, intently focused on client goals and solutions as well as team development.

When Noah’s not drawing or daydreaming about architecture, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Giovanna and their two young children in Historic Grant Park. You may also find him gardening in a Hawaiian shirt, a nod to his time living in Hawaii just before moving to Atlanta.

Chloe is equally sharp and creative, channeling her artistic side through sketching, painting, and hunting for antiques at estate sales on the weekends. She and her husband are the first to try a new restaurant in the city, and her biggest joy is her baby boy Ridge. Chloe’s experience is vast and varied, from studying in Rome to designing and building homes in locations ranging from the rural South to the Hamptons. Her approach to architecture is founded on an appreciation for the honest use of materials and keen attention to detail, regardless of scale. After moving home from New York City, she joined the studio as a licensed architect. Her favorite part of the design process is sharing the initial conceptual renderings with her clients. She loves seeing how they react when presented with the possibilities of their project and the process coming to light.

Riley grew up in Fairhope, Alabama, in a family that never stood still or missed an opportunity to travel. His interest in architecture was first influenced by a high school art teacher and later reinforced during his freshman year of college with an inspiration Intro to Architecture class. This class featured an eccentric professor that taught a memorable first class that explored shadow and light making it an easy decision to drop biomedical sciences and pursue a career in design. While in school at Auburn University, Riley participated in the International Studies program based in Rome Italy, this helped further ignite his desire to see the world and embrace new cultures. He started his career in Birmingham, AL and later relocated to Atlanta to be with his wife Nicole! When he is not traveling you can find him looking for an off-the-beaten-path cocktail bar, watching Arsenal, fly fishing, hiking with his dogs, or “attempting" to play golf.

Known for his humor and loud typing in the office, Trent is an avid Texas Longhorns fan and loves crossword puzzles and old-school action movies. Throughout middle and high school, Trent received years of hands-on experience in the field of construction and architecture while assisting a family member who was a gifted contractor. The true power of design really struck him on his first trip to Washington, D.C. - a trip during which varied architectural programs affected clear sentiments: museums inspired awe and wonder, memorials - reverence and respect, monuments - patriotism. Trent won the distinguished Portman Prize with his team while studying at Georgia Tech, is a CAD expert, and loves improving the studio’s workflows. He is endlessly inspired by the true craftsmanship that can be brought to life through bespoke residential design. Trent’s favorite part of construction is the framing; seeing a house materialize from stacks of lumber.
